ORIGINS AND PURPOSE

Elliðaey is a small uninhabited island in the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago, off the south coast of Iceland. The House of the Elliðaey Hunting Association is a unique construction amidst the island's pristine nature. Although its appearance suggests a residential purpose, in reality, this house is used as a temporary shelter for members of the Elliðaey Hunting Association during the seabird hunting season, such as puffins.
